Position Title: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Columbia, MD

Position Description:  Support the development and preparation of life cycle support policy, standards, processes and procedures for various systems. Review, comment on, develop and implement government approved requests for change, engineering change proposals and upgrades. Develop and/or interpret government-provided software development methodologies and standards. Provide training documentation for systems under development. Define, develop and document operational and maintenance concepts leading to the development of system requirements and specifications. Provide expertise for the application of process improvement techniques and engineering methodologies. Conduct group facilitation, interviewing, knowledge transfer, and training. Implement process improvement methods.

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
  • MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Business, Management, Human Resources Development or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Ten (10) years of specialized experience that should include performing business or technical assessments, methodology development or evaluation, implementing best practices, systems engineering, acquisition, facilitation, project management, and life cycle logistics
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Experience providing technical direction and leadership is required
  • Certification is a plus (e.g., PMP, CMC)
