Tysons, VA - April 23, 2009
For the last four years, the Founders of The ASBC have taken on the challenge of selecting from their membership, those individuals and/or companies who most closely "resemble" the critiera established for the seven awards presented during the organization's birthday celebration. "Each award speaks to a success characteristic." says Chief Visionary Guy Timberlake.

This year's honorees are:
- Eagle Spirit - Angela Dingle, Ex Nihilo Management, LLC
- Rookie of the Year - Emily Summers, Market Torque, LLC
- Member of the Year - Judy Bradt, Summit Insight
- Flag Bearer - Joe Martin, Employment Enterprises, Inc.
- New Member of the Year - NavtechGPS
- Founders' Award - Art Medici, 9th Degree Advisors
- Founders' Award - Mission Essential Personnel, LLC
The Eagle Spirit Award is presented to the member, who through their advocacy of The ASBC and support of other members, best embodies the spirit and culture of The ASBC. According to Co-Founder, Margaret Timberlake, "In early 2008, Guy and I were talking with Angela when she mentioned a desire to work with women business owners to empower them as they pursued their business goals. An idea was floated to start a group for women business leaders within The ASBC and Angela basically took the idea and ran with it, never looking back once. Under Angela's leadership, the Women's POCx has blossomed in a very short period of time into a productive and valued forum. The group's mission is simply to provide support to women business leaders through peer exchange and by leveraging the experience of other community leaders. We regularly receive the most wonderful comments about how useful, warm and welcoming this group is, which we've discovered is definitely the norm. Angela's attitude, leadership, perseverance and professionalism absolutely embodies the culture Guy and work to maintain in The ASBC Community".
