High Performance Engineering

Ex Nihilo is based in Washington, DC and targets local, state, federal and commercial agencies interested in increasing the effectiveness of their organizational dynamics through the use of Information Technology (IT).  The professionals at Ex Nihilo have been providing IT related management and business consulting services for over 30 combined years.

“Knowledge drain” is a condition that occurs when an agency loses critical human resources due to attrition, early retirement and/or the implementation of information technology.  Many government agencies employ an aging workforce that has now become eligible for “early-out” retirement programs.  This phenomenon, deemed by Congress as the “Human Capitol Crisis”, has resulted in many agencies being drained of critical business knowledge.

The application of IT alone does not provide a solution to these management challenges.  So, time after time, customers have been left to tackle these issues on their own.   By capitalizing on our experience, we are able to provide customers with management solutions designed to maximize the value and potential of their organizations.

On Demand Delivery Capability

Ex Nihilo utilizes pre-defined and customizable templates for evaluating customer environments, industry-accepted guidelines for recommended processes and pre-defined templates for final deliverables.  The availability of these materials reduces the amount of time required to initiate a new project, increases productivity during project execution, ensures consistency across customer deliverables and creates a reliable, repeatable delivery process.

Customized Solutions

Ex Nihilo recognizes the uniqueness of its customer environments and individual team members.  Since no two customers are alike, Ex Nihilo provides customized coaching and team building based on the maturity level of the customer environment.

Modular Approach

Each component of Ex Nihilo’s professional services can be executed separate and apart from the others.  This approach fits well within the federal market, as it assists executive management in maintaining compliance with the Clinger-Cohen Act.
